Conclusion:
What is a library? As we have seen, a library can be many things and mean many things, but having to be contained to four walls is not one of them. Traditional libraries, as many have stated, are obsolete. They are obsolete, because they can't not grow and change fast enough to stay relevant to the times and also the public. In the showcasing of these three libraries, you can see that unconventional is the way of the future. These three libraries are not shining light on the library it's self but the librarian that brings or shares the library with others. Libraries may be obsolete but librarians are not! (Lankes, 2012). In each of the three libraries exhibited, each had a message. The Biblioburro taught us that people desire books no matter where they live. The Human Library teaches us that information does need to just come from books or computers. Hearing people's stories about discrimination or a hardship in person will not only inform you, but possibly change your view point. And last, The War Tank Library, shows us that we can take a violent history and turn it into empowerment and willingness to change the way things are. Unconventional libraries are allowing librarians to communicate with their public and put their years of training and research and educationally focus minds to good use.
The library of the future is an unconventional one!
